It is our great pleasure to welcome you to MYK 2026, the 60th Annual Meeting of the German-speaking Mycological Society (DMykG), taking place from 17–19 September 2026 at the Medical University of Graz, Austria.
Celebrating this milestone together with the Austrian Society for Medical Mycology (ÖGMM) makes this year's meeting particularly special. Every four years, the DMykG and ÖGMM jointly organize the MYK conference, reflecting the close collaboration and long-standing partnership of the German-speaking medical mycology community. We are delighted to host this year's meeting in Graz.
The scientific program brings together international expertise in clinical mycology, and host-fungal pathogen interactions, as well as other translational and basic research, leveraging from the GALActIC consortium meeting taking place in Graz immediately before the MYK. Highlights include keynote lectures by Prof. Frank van de Veerdonk (Nijmegen, The Netherlands), Assoc.-Prof. Daniele R. Giacobbe (Genova, Italy), Prof. Joost Wauters (Leuven, Belgium), and Prof. Neil Gow (Exeter, United Kingdom), who will provide perspectives on key developments in medical mycology. Another highlight is the joint symposium with the Austrian Society for Infectious Diseases and Tropical Medicine (ÖGIT), emphasizing the close links between medical mycology and infectious diseases.
Beyond the scientific program, we hope you will enjoy the unique atmosphere of Graz - a vibrant university city, UNESCO World Heritage Site, and welcoming meeting place for scientific exchange, collaboration, and friendship.
